Heart of Haiti

I have never heard of this project before.

I am thrilled to share how cool it is.

Heart of Haiti is rebuilding Haiti through "trade" and not "aid".  Rather than give one time funding (in a large amount), Heart of Haiti is helping Haitians earn a living with dignity.  This project is helping to create jobs and helping Haitians earn income.

I believe in this with all of my heart.

Through the sale of Heart of Haiti products, Haitians are able to earn income for their families and their communities.  They can slowly begin to rebuild their lives.

The Heart of Haiti collection has already led to employment of 350 artists in Haiti and has provided some financial benefits for an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 people in the country.  That is huge.  Massive.  Life changing.  But it can do more.

Each item is designed by a master Haitian artist and made by hand in Haiti.  Thus each item is unique.  Very cool.

Not only are the items extremely groovy, there are several items for under $50.00.

Click here to view the collection, available through Macys.

Just in time for the holidays, a phenomenal gift idea!
